One day I walked on the beach in Santa Monica.
I observed things around me. A bunch of people were there.
Some of them were taking a walk. Some of them were chatting. Some of them were riding a bike.
However, none of them were my friend. I did’t know them even talked to any of them.
All of the people there were just strangers to me.
They were just showed up there meanwhile with me. We turned up at the same place.
At the very beginning they didn’t mean anything to me.
I attempted to create relationships with them. I took out my camera and took some photos for those people on the beach as a recording of my daily life.
In this way, the meaning of relation between me and those strangers have been changed.
From strangers to producer and creator, they became a piece of my work; since they went into the frame of my camera.
